Since his childhood, guitarist Manjae Suo was fascinated by acoustic guitar performances.
In his highschool years, he played the electric guitar and also sang in a band and kept up his passion for music.
In 1976, after he saw the recital of the well-known German classical guitarist Siegfried Behrend at the Sejong Center, he fell in love with the classical guitar.
He continued his studies at the Pioseon University (now Pyeongtaek University) and at the Madrid Royal Conservatory and Royal Conservatory Gradada in Spain. After his graduation, he returned to Korea and since then, he actively and performes and currently is a professor at the Catholic University in Gwangju.
